Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license; keyboarding proficiency; basic math skills; background in electronics, control systems, AC/DC motors or journeyman electrician card; ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to follow complex instructions and safety rules; English assessment required.
• Experience with FRA guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems in locomotives.
• Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance of electrical components in locomotive cabs or electrical compartments.
• Troubleshoot locomotive electrical systems and determine root causes.
• Coordinate work activities and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
• Maintain safety regulations and communicate technical information clearly.
