Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Safford, Arizona, is seeking a Mine Maintenance - Diesel Diagnostic Mechanic I to perform routine and non-routine maintenance, complete work orders, and work autonomously with safety as the primary objective.

The role requires two years of experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts, completion of required competencies, and basic welding skills; crane operation and safe rigging knowledge are a plus. The position offers $28.00–$38.00 per hour with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts.
• Completion of required academic and practical competencies; safety emphasis.
• Must demonstrate basic welding skills.
• LOP internal progression considerations where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, and perform preventative maintenance of process equipment (pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, filters); lubrication.
• Operate small and large cranes; apply safe rigging practices.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA rules and environmental SOPs; participate in safety activities.
