Job summary

Total Equipment Management is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel-powered construction and rental equipment, ensuring machines leave the shop safe and reliable.

You will work with a team that values safety, integrity, and customer service, using manufacturer software and diagnostic tools to deliver high-quality workmanship. This role emphasizes hands-on problem-solving in a shop setting, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and compact construction equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues on diesel-powered equipment.
• Repair, rebuild, and replace engines, fuel systems, hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, final drives, electrical components, and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment check-in procedures.
• Document repairs, diagnostics, work orders, parts usage, and labor hours.
• Utilize manufacturer service software and diagnostic tools.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and company repair standards to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Build positive relationships with customers by providing professional, dependable service.
• Work closely with teammates to keep equipment repaired efficiently and minimize customer downtime.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
