Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Reno, NV to service and repair our fleet. The role features stable weekday hours, a 4:00 PM–12:30 AM shift, and competitive pay with a $2 shift differential. The base pay is $42.69/hour, with boot allowance and comprehensive benefits.

Work location is primarily in a shop setting with safety as the top priority. You will diagnose, repair and maintain diesel trucks and related equipment, ensure paperwork is accurate, and support senior mechanics on

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
