Job summary

Waste Management in Colorado Springs is seeking a SeniorCNG Diesel Mechanic to service and maintain our fleet. You will work in a shop setting, Monday–Friday, using modern tools to repair diesel and CNG trucks and equipment.

We offer competitive pay starting at $33+ per hour plus a $2 shift differential, with tool allowance up to $2,500 and a boot allowance of $175. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare, tuition assistance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimates time and material costs for vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles – OSHA standards compliance.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assisting senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.
