Job summary

First Student in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Diesel Technician for our shop. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday day shift with a competitive hourly rate and company-paid training.

You will service school buses to ensure safety, reliability, and on-time transport for students in the community. Qualified applicants have at least 3 years in diesel/auto maintenance, a valid driver’s license (CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days), and willingness to participate in ASE certification.

Qualifications

• Three years of diesel or automotive maintenance experience, or equivalent technical school education.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 60 days; company training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair school buses to keep safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, engines, suspensions, transmissions, and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and annual inspections; complete work orders.
