Job summary

Coach USA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic in Paramus, NJ to support the HudsonLink service. This full-time position focuses on diagnostic repairs and preventive maintenance to keep buses safe and reliable.

Experience with Cummins/Detroit engines is preferred; ASE certification or an associate degree is valued but not required. Willingness to obtain a CDL is expected, with weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• ASE Diesel Certification or associate degree in diesel technology is highly regarded but not mandatory
• Willingness to obtain a CDL
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Commitment to safety standards

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair using diagnostic tools for mechanical, electrical, and other issues
• Diesel engine removal, installation, disassembly, and reconditioning
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturers' specs
• Uphold quality standards and complete test drives
• Write inspection reports and repair plans; maintain logs
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
