Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair fleet diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Read diagrams and shop manuals, interpreting drawings for proper repairs.
• Perform inspections and document defects found during maintenance.
• Communicate repair details clearly to team members and supervisors.
• Maintain high-precision workmanship in all maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and verifying repairs on a fleet of Metro transit buses.
• Diagnosis of engines, transmissions/drivelines, air brakes and steering/suspension systems as well as a competent understanding of electrical systems.
• Performing and documenting inspections, listing any defects found and repairing defects.
• Communicate specific details about diagnosis and repairs made to the buses.
