Job summary

Rubbercraft in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Tooling Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair production tooling. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot tooling issues, and ensure dies, molds, fixtures, and related equipment remain production-ready.

Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality to minimize downtime and maintain accurate tooling records. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic reading of drawings, and proficiency with precision measuring

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tooling sketches.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and tooling repair methods.
• Skill using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and maintain production dies, molds, fixtures, and tooling.
• Identify and troubleshoot wear, damage, and performance concerns.
• Perform routine tooling repairs and adjustments; escalate complex issues.
• Disassemble and reassemble tooling following procedures and preserve critical markings.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and measurements.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality to prioritize tooling needs.
