Job summary

Wisconsin Plastic Products Inc. in Plymouth, WI is seeking a Tool Room Maintenance Technician to maintain, clean, and inspect tooling, extrusion dies, and related equipment to keep them in good working condition.

You will support Design Engineers with new tool preparation and assist with line setup and teardown. This full-time, 2nd shift role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in manufacturing, and a mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, technical documents, and safety guidelines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Polish and clean extrusion dies, calibrators, and related equipment.
• Inspect dies, calibrators, and related equipment for wear or damage and report findings.
• Maintain an organized and clean Tool Room with all equipment stored properly.
• Test and repair heaters, heater cords, and thermocouples.
• Maintain inventory levels of heaters, cords, thermocouples, and extrusion-related supplies.
• Assist with line setup and teardown as required.
• Provide support for production activities, including secondary processes such as cutting, punching, packing, and inspecting parts.
• Assist Maintenance with general tasks, including painting and facility upkeep.
• Assist with R&D functions and material grinding as needed.
• Pick up and deliver supplies and parts from suppliers or customers.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
