Job summary

Kasai North America seeks an skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain dies and molds. The role emphasizes proficiency across multiple trades, adherence to safety rules, and accurate completion of work orders and PM tasks.

Responsibilities include 5-S upkeep, following procedures for crane use, lifting, and transport of dies, plus ongoing evaluation of mold problems to prevent recurring issues. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of on-the-job training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical or mechanical repair of dies and molds.
• Ability to read and interpret sketches and prints for maintenance work.
• Ability to detect defects and perform repairs or adjustments.
• Commitment to safety, 5S practices, and plant-wide safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety requirements and department-wide procedures.
• Maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
• Complete required departmental paperwork and use maintenance systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble molds as instructed and keep work organized.
• Review molds for potential defects and future issues.
• Inspect lifting eyes and dies to prevent moving hazards.
• Follow proper water hookups and acid wash procedures.
• Return dies to correct sections and notify group leaders.
• Support Quality and Environmental Policies and procedures.
