ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Read and follow instructions on factory masters
- Take correct printing dies to press department machines
- Pick up all printing dies from press department machines and return to die room after order is complete
- Wash all dirty printing dies, remove tape, and band type
- Replace printing dies in proper sequence on printing die rack
- Inspect all incoming dies for any necessary repairs
- Assist Die Mounter in pulling printing and cutting dies for press department machines
- Assist Die Mounter in pulling load tags
- Sort and file load tags
- Make BMC and box ID strips
- Be able to hand unitize units
- Glue and seal loose dies returned from machines
- Cross‑train for other job positions as necessary
- Two‑man feed when necessary
- Assist in keeping die room clean and organized
- Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Receive orders in SAP/Amtech
- General management of files (open/save) in illustrator and Artios
- Upload and manage tooling information in DAM
- New item notification and communication in Outlook
- Cutting Die/Print Plate check – ensure received items match specification
- Request materials to be ordered with all applicable information to Purchasing
- Repair dies (printing/cutting) as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to write legibly in English.
- Must be able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
- 6 months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Department.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To successfully perform the essential functions of this role requires the ability to stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequently use hands (reach with hands and arms), view a computer monitor, use a telephone, speak and listen frequently. The role requires occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
