Job summary

SOUTHERN CHAMPION TRAY LLC seeks a Die Shop Apprenticeship Candidate to assist in die shop operations and pre-make ready tasks. You will train as a Cutter Operator Apprentice while performing die shop responsibilities in a high-output environment.

The role emphasizes learning to safely operate die-cutting equipment, follow SCT Quality Procedures, and contribute to on-time production with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 3–6 months related experience and/or training.
• Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software; requires a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be flexible to move to at least one evening shift after successfully completing apprenticeship training and when a Cutter Operator role is available.

Responsibilities

• Operate die shop operations including pre-make ready and machine preparation to maintain die-cutting efficiency.
• Review die shop instructions on the work jacket and advise supervisor of any necessary corrections for proper pre-make ready.
