Job summary

Microwave Power Products (MPP) is seeking experienced Die Setters for our US manufacturing facility. You will read blueprint layouts, set up press machines of varying sizes, and select appropriate tooling and dies for each job to ensure precision.

Candidates should be capable of conducting quality assurance tests with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and be willing to work overtime as required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a die setter or with press machines, or injection molding in powdered metal preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Basic computer knowledge and adaptability to learn.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up press machines of varying sizes with correct tooling and dies.
• Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools.
• Read blueprints to ensure correct part specifications.
• Support basic repairs and DIY mechanical tasks as needed.

Die Setter

We are seeking experienced, dependable, and precise Die Setters. In this role, you will have the ability to read blueprint layouts. Set up press machines that range in size and understand the appropriate tooling and dies to for each job. You will also conduct quality assurance tests using precision measuring tools. The desired candidate will have a working knowledge of micrometers & calipers. Prior knowledge of quality systems and press equipment is beneficial however we welcome anyone that has a mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform repairs and other DIY projects. Full training will be given to successful applicants.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

• Completion of high school or GED
• Previous experience as a die setter and/or working with press machines and/or injection molding preferably in powdered metal.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn.
• Experience driving a forklift truck.

Working Environment and Conditions

• This position requires working in a manufacturing environment.
• This position requires standing, walking and reach with hands and arms for the entire shift.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime is required.
• The employee must be willing to work up to 10-hour shifts and weekends as required.
