Job summary

Magna International, Inc. in Tennessee is seeking a Die Setter to work safely and efficiently, ensuring set-up schedule and production needs are met. You will contribute to continuous improvements and support Magna's values and policies in a stamping environment.

The role requires following plant safety rules, preparing tools and dies, coordinating with other departments, promoting 5S, and performing related duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous tool & die setter experience preferred.
• Certified Crane Operator certification is a plus.
• Certified Forklift Driver certification is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is expected.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety requirements.
• Basic understanding of stamping processes.
• Prior experience in a stamping facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
• Complete set-up responsibility.
• Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, conveyors, chutes, clamping required).
• Establish and maintain communication with other employees and support departments.
• Initiate and sustain 5s opportunities.
• Supply tool room with necessary dies.
• Continually organize die storage area.
• Promote good housekeeping (5S).
• Perform other duties as required.
