Job summary

Magna Body & Chassis Iowa is seeking a Die Setter to work with the team to complete die set ups efficiently and safely in a large manufacturing environment. The role involves installing and testing dies, loading feeders and dereelers, adjusting guides and conveyors, and obtaining first-off approval to ensure parts meet specifications.

It also includes inspecting dies, performing corrections, and assisting in operator training to maintain quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift and crane certification required.
• General factory environment understanding or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete die sets per setup book: install and test dies, load feeders and dereelers, adjust guides, fixtures, conveyors and other press aspects.
• Obtain first-off approval of new setups, accurately measure test pieces and adjust press and dies to meet specifications.
• Inspect/Accept/Reject materials per work instructions and procedures; tag dies for cleaning and repair.
• Assist in training operators on basic machine operations and quality inspections; report nonconforming parts promptly.
