Job summary

Magna International in Tennessee is seeking a Die Setter to work safely and efficiently, meeting set-up schedules and production needs. The role requires a commitment to continuous improvement and collaborating with colleagues while upholding Magna's values and policies.

Responsibilities include set-up, 5S activities, tool staging, and maintaining clear communication with departments. Prior stamping experience is preferred; HS diploma or GED is recommended.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous experience as Tool & Die setter is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work Instructions and safety requirements.
• Basic understanding of stamping processes.
• Certified Crane Operator and Certified Forklift Driver are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.
• Complete set-up responsibility.
• Pre-staging of all set-up (tools, dies, conveyors, chutes, clamping required).
• Establish and maintain communication with other employees and support departments.
• Initiate and sustain 5S opportunities.
• Supply tool room with necessary dies.
• Continually organize die storage area.
• Promote good housekeeping (5S).
• Perform other duties as required.

The function of the Die Setter is to work safely and efficiently, ensuring set-up schedule and production needs are achieved.
