Job summary

The Gund Company in Noblesville, IN is seeking a full-time Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. You will install, align, and adjust dies in stamping presses, ensuring quality and safety. Shift is 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with starting pay at $26.00 per hour plus a 15% shift premium.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to read measuring tools. Overtime flexibility and familiarity with blueprints or GD&T are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install dies into stamping presses and align for accuracy.

  • Maintain dies and follow safety procedures during operation.
  • Collaborate with operators and maintenance on downtime reduction.

Description

The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Noblesville, Indianapolis manufacturing plant for a full-time Die Setter to join our team!

Shift: 2pm – 10:30 (M-F)

Starting Hourly Wage: $26.00+ /hour plus a 15% Shift Premium

Job Summary Die Setter

Die setter is responsible for installing, aligning, adjusting, and removing dies used in mechanical stamping presses. Dies are precision tools designed to cut and form non-metallic material. This role ensures that production equipment is properly prepared to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Die Setter works closely with machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product output.

Duties Die Setter
  • Installing dies into mechanical stamping presses
  • Aligning and securing dies to exact specifications
  • Adjusting settings (ram, timing, stroke length)
  • Inspect sample parts to ensure quality and tolerances are met
  • Troubleshooting defects like misalignment, cracks, or incomplete formation
  • Maintaining and inspecting dies for wear or damage
  • Following safety procedures due to heavy tooling and high-force equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and relatable experience to TGC’s manufacturing machinery and processes.
  • Experience with (insert the department and/or type(s) of machines) or similar equipment.
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T
Work Environment Utility Operator II
  • This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • The position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
