Job summary

Grand Rapids, MI-based automotive manufacturer is seeking entry-level die setters. The role involves learning and performing die setup, changingover, and press prep for production shifts. You will work on 1st shift, 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday, with possible longer shifts and weekend work.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour; you’ll train and grow in a hands-on environment. Requirements include eagerness to learn, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and初- certification after

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn a new trade and adapt to a manufacturing setting.
• Must be able to obtain hilo certification after starting.
• Basic arithmetic skills for shop tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with die setup and prepare presses for job changeovers.
• Learn changeover from last-piece to first-piece and support production.
• Troubleshoot press operations in a methodical manner.
• Keep work area clean following 5S standards.

Die Setter Job Summary:

A growingautomotive manufacturerlocated in Grand Rapids, MI is looking to add and train entry-level die setters to its team.This is a great opportunity to learn a new trade!

Die Setter Job Requirements:

• Assist with die setup process
• Clean and prepare presses for job setup
• Learn and assist with the entire die changeover from last-piece to first-piece
• Troubleshoot press operations in a methodical manner
• Maintain clean work area following 5S standards
• Operate overhead crane and forklift
• Learn basic preventative maintenance on equipment

Schedule & Pay:

• 1st Shift; 6:00am-2:00pm; Monday-Friday, with ability to work longer shifts and weekends as required
• $17.00/HR

Setup Technician Qualifications:

• Eagerness and commitment to learning a new trade
• Will be required to obtain hilo certification upon starting
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• HS Diploma or GED required
