Die Setter Technician / Stamping Press Operator

Location: Peosta, IA
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday (4 Days Each Week)
Wage: $20+ / hour | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Sedona Staffing is partnering with a manufacturer in Peosta to hire experienced Die Setter Technicians and Stamping Press Operators. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting metal stamping production by installing dies, setting up presses, and operating equipment efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-minded, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Duties:

• Install, remove, and align stamping dies using forklift equipment
• Set press machines to correct shut height and ensure proper tooling installation
• Confirm die protection systems are properly in place and operational
• Support machine operators by training them on safe and correct equipment use
• Communicate quality concerns to appropriate team members and assist in resolving issues
• Contribute to process improvements and assist with other machine setups as needed

Requirements:

• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and interpreting setup documentation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a willingness to assist and train others
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on, physical tasks
• Familiarity with ISO standards and manufacturing safety protocols is a plus
