We are seeking a skilled Die Setter to join a reputable metal stamping manufacturer that has been supporting OEM and Tier 1 automotive clients since 1986. This is a fantastic direct hire role for individuals with progressive die setup expertise who thrive in dynamic manufacturing settings, offering comprehensive benefits and the unique advantage of employee ownership.

Work hours are scheduled from Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with optional half-day shifts available on Fridays.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute the installation and changeover of progressive dies within stamping presses.
• Perform die removal and placement while verifying precise alignment.
• Calibrate press settings and feed mechanisms to optimize performance.
• Analyze and interpret technical blueprints to guide setup tasks.
• Utilize precision instruments like micrometers and calipers to verify part accuracy and help maintain high quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production logs and setup documentation.
• Validate that initial parts conform to quality requirements prior to commencing full-scale production.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience performing die setting within a metal stamping facility.
• Demonstrated proficiency with stamping presses and progressive die systems.
• Competency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure consistent output.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities to support operational efficiency.
• Physical capacity to lift loads weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Requirement to wear steel-toe footwear.
