Sigma Engineered Solutions is seeking a Die Technician Trainee for the Night Shift (3:00pm–1:00am). This structured program develops skills to operate, load, repair, and maintain dies to tight tolerances, with formal assessments every 1,000 hours over roughly two years.

The role involves die set-up, changeovers, troubleshooting, and progressive responsibility under supervision, with potential prior hands-on machining experience viewed favorably.

Qualifications

• Completion of or willingness to participate in company-provided Die Technician Training Program.
• Must successfully complete scheduled training courses and assessments every 1,000 hours over two years.
• Prior mechanical, manufacturing, machining, tool & die, or related industrial experience.
• Exposure to stamping, metalworking, or production environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review stamped parts and stamped strip to identify defects and trace root causes.
• Remove and replace tooling components and measure shim requirements to meet tolerances.
• Use precision inspection instruments to verify part tolerances and compliance.
• Retrieve dies, set up presses, and perform die changeovers as needed.
• Participate in formal training programs and progress through the development plan.
• Follow company policies and procedures and adhere to workplace rules.
