Job summary

Dauch Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking a skilled Repair Technician to repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies, using blue prints to build and replace segments and parts. The starting rate is up to $37/hour with a $0.50/$1.00 shift premium and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

• Technical education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, and maintain casting and trim dies in line with the original specifications.
• Use blue prints to build and replace segments, cores, details, and parts.
• Draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces.
• Make repairs, remove stuck castings, correct dimensional problems, change cores and trim punches.
• Perform welding duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot all production tooling problems to determine best course of action.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to complete assigned work.
