Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Die Maker Assistant in Winston-Salem to support the production of top quality Die Boards for Manufacturing. This role operates on the 3rd shift and requires hands-on work with strippers, dies and related machinery, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in carpentry, metal work, machinery or general manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior carpentry and metal work experience.
• Prior machinery experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and inspect strippers and add rubber to dies.
• Assemble and inspect rubber dies.
• Stage dies and strippers for receiving to pick up.
• Revise and repair die and strippers.
• Cut corrugated samples on roller press.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies.
• Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
