Job summary

Fox Valley Tool & Die, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Die Maker to join our team in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. You will work on dies, fixtures, jigs, molds, and gauges, reading drawings and GD&T, and setting up and operating machine tools to produce and repair tooling.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma/GED; technical training is a plus. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package to support growth and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Proficient in using measuring tools and math to verify tooling dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and machinists to manufacture, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, jigs, molds, and gauges.
• Read engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to plan tooling construction.
• Set up and operate machine tools to produce parts and verify accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements to tooling.
• Ensure parts meet print specifications and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Works with tool engineers, machinists, inspection, and stamping in the manufacturing, repairing, and maintenance of dies, fixtures, jigs, molds, and gages
• Read and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to plan tooling construction
• Sets up and operates machine tools to manufacture parts
• Analyzes specifications, set ups, and operation of machine tools, fit and assembly of parts to fabricate and repair dies, fixtures, gages, and molds
• Confirms purchased and machined components are accounted for prior to assembling tools
• Computes dimensions, plan layout, and assembly sequence of machine tools
• Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances of machine tools
• Completes tool try out and corrects problems if necessary
• Ensures stamped parts are made to print specifications consistently
• Trouble shoots problems and recommends improvements of existing tooling
• Develops specifications for general descriptions of specialty tools/ fixtures
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment
• Performs other duties as assigned by direct manager
• Capable of lifting at least 20 lbs.
• Supports the company’s quality policy through compliance with the quality management system requirements
