Job summary

Viking Forge LLC, based in Streetsboro, OH, seeks an experienced Die Design Engineer to craft tooling for hot forging, including tooling design, die stress analysis, and process improvements.

Cold forming, stamping, casting, or injection molding experience will also be considered. You will collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and develop new products from concept to mass production.

Qualifications

• Forging and tooling design experience (3-5 years preferred).
• SolidWorks with 3-D modeling experience.
• Knowledge in material selection/heat treatment.
• Basic understanding of ANSI Y 14.5M-1999 drafting standard.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Design hot forged products and tooling.
• FEA material flow simulation/die stress analysis.
• SolidWorks simulation tasks.
• Tooling improvement and troubleshooting in manufacturing.
• Develop new products from customer concepts to mass production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality departments.
• Drive continuous improvement of the product and forging process.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
