Job summary

Oliver Inc is hiring a Die Cutting Operator to join our printing and packaging team in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate will set up, adjust, monitor and operate die cutting machinery, perform make-readies, pull samples, verify accuracy and ensure top quality throughout each run.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with steel rule dies, counter plates, and related tooling, plus the ability to read job tickets and CAD layouts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Die Cutting Operator or Die Cutting Pressman in the printing/packaging industry.
• Hands-on with steel rule dies, counter plates, make-ready materials, and stripping/blanking tools.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets, CAD layouts, die lines, and quality specifications.
• Proven ability to complete accurate make-readies with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Bobst, Heidelberg or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates the die cutting machine for all required processes.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on equipment.
• Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.
