Job summary

Oliver Inc., a printing and packaging solutions provider in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking an experienced Die Cutting Operator to join our team on 2nd or 3rd shifts. You will set up, adjust, monitor, and operate die cutting machinery, complete make-readies, pull samples, verify accuracy, and ensure top quality throughout runs.

Ideal candidates have die cutting/manufacturing experience, proficiency with steel rule dies, and the ability to read job tickets and CAD layouts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Die Cutting Operator in printing/packaging
• Hands-on with steel rule dies, counter plates, and make-readies
• Reading job tickets, CAD layouts, die lines, and quality specs
• Proven ability to complete make-readies with minimal supervision
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting with die cutting equipment
• Familiarity with Bobst, Heidelberg or similar equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand long periods in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates die cutting machine preparing all processes (stripping, blanking)
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on equipment
• Ensures total quality of the job while in operation
• Works in a fast-paced environment with teamwork
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Conducts activities in a safe and efficient manner
