Oliver Inc. in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Die Cutter Operator to join our team and manage the setup, operation, and monitoring of our die cutting press to ensure high-quality folding carton packaging.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on die cutting experience, strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read job specs and maintain production records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience operating a die cutter in a commercial printing or packaging environment.
• Folding carton experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with die cutting, stripping, blanking, and related finishing processes.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make machine adjustments and perform minor repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications, production instructions, and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate die cutting equipment to produce folding carton packaging according to job specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and manage all processes associated with die cutting, including stripping, blanking, and waste removal.
• Read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production requirements to ensure accurate setup and production.
• Monitor the press throughout the run and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistent quality, registration, and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished product for defects and ensure cartons meet customer specifications and Oliver Inc. quality standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Identify and resolve common operating issues and elevate more complex mechanical or quality issues when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
• Work closely with other pressroom and production team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, productivity, and attention to detail are essential.
