Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Die Cutter operator to support set-up, maintenance and running of the Die Cutter. You’ll work with the team to meet safety, quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include make-ready, adjustments, die inspection, shift handoffs, routine maintenance, and accurate recording of production metrics. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions.
• Ability to understand technical written and verbal instructions.
• Strong computer and math skills are required.
• Ability to accurately distinguish colour variation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and bending required.
• Must be able to work overtime including weekends.
• Work well in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with policies.
• Make-ready, adjust, and run job efficiently to meet safety and productivity standards.
• Examine job order to determine quantity, stock specifications, and die cutting instructions.
• Examine cutting dies for visual defects.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
• Ensure information is communicated between shifts.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of Die Cutter.
• Accurately record production metrics.
