Job summary

AWT in South Elgin, IL is seeking a Die Cutter Operator to set up, operate, and maintain rotary die cutting equipment for flexible packaging production. You will ensure products meet customer specs, quality standards, and production schedules while maintaining a safe work environment.

The role requires basic math, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training will cover GMPs, SOPs, and SQF requirements; 6am–2:30pm shift with potential overtime based on production

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Vocational or technical training in manufacturing, printing, or mechanical fields preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor die cutting equipment according to job specifications.
• Review and verify job tickets, key measurements and special instructions before production.
• Install and adjust dies, anvils, tooling, and related components for proper machine performance.
• Perform accurate setup and changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
• Inspect finished product to ensure customer specifications and quality standards.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area following SOPs, GMPs and SQF.
