Job summary

Sabert is seeking a Die Cutter Operator to run die-cutting equipment and maintain production quality in a fast-paced plant in Richmond, VA. The role requires hands-on operation of the die-cut machines, use of RF scanners for WMS transactions, and safe handling of pallets and tools.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in a similar manufacturing setting. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and on-site with standard day shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to use RF scanner for WMS transactions.
• Knowledge of machine operation, mechanical systems, and electronic machine controls.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
• Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in work area.
• Basic mathematics (i.e. counting), basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Run equipment at established rates, monitor performance, clear jams, and document variables that may slow production.
• Complete tooling setup for changeovers and resolve tooling issues during production runs.
• Use RF scanner to capture transactions and generate labels in WMS.
• Move materials using pallet jack and forklift to feeder/delivery areas.
• Inspect die-cut products, correct quality issues, and notify supervisor/QA of defects.
• Maintain production schedule, cleanliness and machine sanitation as scheduled.
• Train other Die Cutter operators as required.
• Document quality, production and machine performance.
