Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in West Chester, OH is seeking a Die Cut Operator for the 3rd shift to manage setup, operation, and quality of the die cut process. The candidate will prep the machine for production, ensure safety and cleanliness, and assist in training other die cut personnel.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, maintaining equipment, and adhering to maintenance procedures. A HS diploma and prior die cut experience are required; overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior die cut operating experience (Bobst preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow detailed instructions.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills.

Die Cut Operator – West Chester, OH

Shift: 3rd

Summary

The Bobst Die Cut Operator is responsible for the overall production of the machine and the quality of the work produced.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Set up and operate the die cut machine.
• Responsible for prepping machine for the next production run, sheets, dies, etc.
• Evaluate production quality; bring concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist in training other die cut personnel.
• Troubleshoot production issues that may arise.
• Adhere to routine maintenance spelled out in the Preventive Maintenance procedures.
• Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Minimum
• Previous Die Cut operating experience (Bobst preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must have prior die cut experience

The starting rate is $27.15 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
