Job summary

Winpak Films is seeking a Die Clean Technician to join our team at Winpak. The role supports the Die Clean process with calibration, repair, troubleshooting, installation and preventative maintenance of extruder dies.

Day shift, 10–12 hour shifts, reporting to the Die Clean Lead Technician. Responsibilities include disassembly/assembly for die cleans, inspecting dies, measuring machinery performance, operating shop equipment, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; tech certs preferred.
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Strong understanding of automated production machinery.
Basic knowledge of PLCs, operator interfaces, and electrical/electronic components.
Proficient reading blueprints and using measurement tools.
Experience with maintenance databases like Micromain.

Responsibilities

Perform die clean activities: disassembly, cleaning, reassembly of dies.
Inspect dies for damage or wear after production.
Measure and monitor machinery performance (up to 480V AC).
Operate machine shop equipment (lathes, mills, grinders).
Maintain records on tooling and repair activities.
Investigate root causes of quality issues and support corrective actions.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment; calibrate instruments.
Assist in spare parts inventory and order parts as needed.
