Job summary

Pace Industries, LLC is seeking a Tooling Setup Technician to safely install, remove, and set up dies and related tooling for HPDC operations. You will work with production, tooling, maintenance, and engineering to minimize changeovers and ensure safe, reliable die casting processes.

Responsibilities include die changes, equipment connections, and setup verification, with emphasis on adherence to safety and procedural standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, tooling, or die casting environment.
• Ability to read and follow setup sheets and diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and tooling setup problems.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as production requires.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete die changes and tooling setups on HPDC machines.
• Safely remove dies and install dies for upcoming production runs.
• Use cranes, hoists, and rigging to move dies and tooling.
• Verify die orientation, positioning, and machine interface before startup.
• Connect cooling, hydraulic, and lubrication lines and components.
• Inspect dies and tooling for damage before installation.
• Complete pre-startup inspections and setup verification.
