Job summary

Briggs & Stratton is seeking a die casting technician to set up production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and maintain peak line performance. You will apply SPC to keep parts within specification and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires 1.5 years of hands-on technical experience, forklift ability, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1.5 years of hands-on technical experience using mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Forklift operation ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment to ensure quality output.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Apply statistical process control to guide adjustments and keep parts within specification.
• Perform preventative maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Execute machining and bench work to alter dies, fixtures, gauges, and guarding.
• Support the team with other duties as assigned.
