Job summary

Orion Casting is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support and coordinate maintenance activities in a high-pressure aluminum die casting environment. You will oversee scheduling, work orders, parts coordination, and preventive maintenance tracking to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

This role collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Tooling, and Purchasing to keep plant operations safe and efficient and to drive continuous improvement in equipment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance, manufacturing, or maintenance planning experience.
• Experience in high-pressure aluminum die casting or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS, Excel, Outlook, ERP systems.
• Industrial maintenance knowledge: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, automation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and technician assignments.
• Manage and track maintenance work orders through the CMMS system.
• Schedule preventive and predictive maintenance for die cast machines, furnaces, robots, and tooling.
• Maintain maintenance records, downtime logs, and equipment history files.
• Assist in tracking downtime and identifying recurring issues.
• Coordinate maintenance parts inventory and spare parts management.
• Work with Purchasing to expedite critical replacement parts and outside services.
• Coordinate contractor scheduling and ensure safety compliance.
• Support maintenance planning during shutdowns, launches, and major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, lockout/tagout, and PM documentation.
• Generate maintenance KPI reports (Downtime, PM completion, Equipment uptime, Labor utilization).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
