Job summary

Ryobi Die Casting USA, Inc. is seeking a Die Casting Process Technician to support die designs, set-up samples, and trial evaluations for replacement dies or new models.

You will lead efforts to improve quality and productivity across our die casting operations and provide technical assistance to RDC and customers. The role involves addressing die casting issues, writing maintenance requests, mentoring Process Techs, and participating in 8-D reports and on-site customer visits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience required.
• Preferred: Technical Associate's degree with 1 year experience or Technical Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct the maintenance and improvement of product quality and productivity.
• Provide technical assistance to RDC and customers as needed.
• Address die casting product issues in house and at customer requests.
• Write End-Of-Run Die Maintenance Requests for responsible products.
• Develop trust and reliable partnerships with customers as needed.
• Guide and direct Process Techs as needed.
• Assist in process and quality training of new RDC personnel.
• Assist in writing 8-D reports, visiting customer plants, and developing quality training methods.
• Integrate complex information from multiple sources; detect trends and cause-effect relationships.
• Recommend improvements to casting quality based on analysis and simulations.
• Maintain basic understanding of die cast machine operation and logic.
• Plan short-term forecasting (0-3 months).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
