Job summary

Cascade Die Casting Group is seeking a Team Leader - Cast to oversee the Great Lakes die cast cell in Sparta, MI. The role requires guiding operators, maintaining production targets, and ensuring safety and quality standards on second shift.

The Team Leader will train staff, troubleshoot processes, and coordinate with the Die Cast Supervisor to drive continuous improvement and efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Die Cast Operation preferred.
• Robot auto mode operation via Panel View on Auto-Trim Presses.
• Able to run a manual trim press and automatic trim press, and restart a die cast machine or robot as needed.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Cast Defect and Troubleshooting training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience in Lock Out/Tag Out, Crane Operation, and Forklift Operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written work instructions for die casting and trim machine operation.
• Perform simple process troubleshooting, die setting, die maintenance, and minor machine maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair die cast and trim press machines, and robot gripper systems.
• Train operators in cell job functions and provide relief during breaks.
• Meet daily production targets (uptime, scrap, and efficiency).
• Enter data into production software and quality systems accurately.
• Identify and report defects and unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Education
