Job summary

CompX Grayslake is seeking a skilled operator to set up, run, and troubleshoot die case molding machines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will ensure machines run efficiently, inspect castings for conformance, and use precision tools to verify dimensions.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds are required. This role involves standing for long periods, frequent manual work with parts and tools, and continuous attention to safety and quality

• Must stand and walk throughout the shift

• Familiar with precision measuring instruments

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and troubleshoot die casting molding machines.
• Ensure machines operate effectively and efficiently.
• Check and test castings to confirm conformance with specs.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges and adjust controls.
