Qualifications

• 3+ years in tool and die making, specifically die-cast or plastic injection tooling.
• Knowledge of CNC machine tools, CAM, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong reading of blueprints and CAD models to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Physical aptitude to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain high attention to detail.
• Tool steel, heat treatment experience, and TIG welding capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Mold repair and refurbishment to extend tool life.
• Trim die fabrication and assembly using common tool steels.
• Set up and operate grinders, lathes, mills, and CNCs to machine components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mold-related casting defects.
• Read blueprints/CAD models and verify dimensions against specs.
• Coordinate and direct outside service providers for tooling and repairs.
