Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Unit Clerk to support clinic operations and patient care for individuals living with kidney disease. You will greet patients, answer calls, and coordinate transportation, while ensuring smooth administrative and billing processes.

The role focuses on maintaining accurate medical records, preparing charts for treatments, updating logs, and assisting with lab processing in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Six months of relevant experience in clinical/healthcare setting preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in administrative position preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Ability to organize time and tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with USRC applications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, answer phones, assist with transportation arrangements.
• Update and maintain medical records and prepare patient charts for treatments.
• Enter charges, assist in billing, and maintain attendance logs.
• Prepare forms/reports for governmental agencies and manage supplies/inventory.
• Process lab slips and direct labs to the correct laboratory.

How you will change lives
As a Unit Clerk at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, providing operational support to maintain clinic operations and provide the best customer care for patients living with kidney disease.
What you will be doing

Customer Care.

You will be a critical member of the clinic team, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere by greeting patients and visitors, answering phones, answering patient questions, and assisting patients with transportation arrangements, as needed.

Operational Support.

You will maintain clinic operations effectively by updating and maintaining medical records, preparing patient records and charts for treatments, and assisting in auditing records for ongoing compliance. You will support financial operations by entering charges and preparing billing and patient attendance logs. You will also complete forms and reports as required by governmental agencies. You will ensure adequate supplies and inventory and reordering when required. In addition, you will help process lab work by preparing lab slips and tubes and directing labs to the appropriate laboratory.
