Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Dialysis Technician to work in the inpatient dialysis department. Under supervision, you will assist the Lead RN with direct patient care and dialysis support activities, ensuring patient safety and treatment accuracy.

The role requires High School or GED, BLS, and OCDT certification. Day shift with 24 scheduled hours per week, focusing on teamwork, aseptic technique, and efficient care delivery in a high reliability environment.

Qualifications

• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• OCDT - Ohio Certified Dialysis Technician - Ohio Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Establishes patency of internal vascular accesses and initiates dialysis as assigned.
• Monitors vital signs and intervenes to maintain patient stability during treatment.
• Sets up and tears down all dialysis equipment and supplies.
• Terminates dialysis treatment and prepares patient for discharge and transportation requests.
• Performs aseptic and sterile dressing changes and reports exit-site abnormalities.
• Performs miscellaneous patient care duties as delegated by management and team RN.
• The role emphasizes safety, quality and efficiency in line with high reliability protocols.
