Intermountain Health seeks a Dialysis Technician to perform and assist with dialysis treatment under RN delegation in an outpatient Utah setting. You will set up machines, monitor therapy, and document care while ensuring safety per Intermountain policies.

The role requires BLS and transitioning to CCHT/CHT certification within 18 months; on-site schedule is 36 hours weekly with variable days and on-call shifts.

Job Description:The Dialysis Technician performs tasks and provides patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse consistent with practice standards. The Dialysis Technician provides competent dialysis treatment consistent with treatment prescription and observes the patient's physiologic response to treatment and reports variation to the charge RN as indicated.Posting SpecificsPay Range: $20.07 - $28.59/hour (Uncertified) (depending on experience). $22.10 - $34.11/hour (Certified) (depending on experience)Benefits Eligible: Yes (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), and many more benefits)Shift Details: Full-time, 36 hours/week. Caregivers must maintain an active Certified Chronic Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Certification or Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) Certification to remain in this role.Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers prior to start date.Qualifications – PreferredDialysis experienceExperience working in a regulated healthcare environmentPhlebotomy experiencePhysical RequirementsAbility to evaluate and interpret color coded test results on test strips.Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, identify patient needs, operate monitors and equipment.Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.Location:Utah Dialysis CenterWork City:Salt Lake CityWork State:UtahScheduled Weekly Hours:36The hourly range for this position is listed below.
