Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Dialysis Tech to support patient care in the dialysis unit. You will set up equipment, initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments for adolescents to adults, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The role requires knowledge of dialysis procedures, strong communication with patients and staff, and adherence to unit competencies. Full-time day shifts and varied start times are provided, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate or active enrollment in a Medical Technological or professional school preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience or education in a health-related field.
• BLS certification within 3 months.
• Certification under a state program or national certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up dialysis equipment and initiate, monitor and terminate treatments.
• Monitor and document patient care data and vital signs.
• Communicate with patients, families and caregivers regarding needs and care.
• Maintain safety with lifts and equipment and ensure proper use.
• Attend in-services and demonstrate proficiency on unit equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient care and efficiency.
