Job summary

Affordable Family Care Services - Raleigh in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, friendly demeanor, and can provide multi-level support for clients, including transportation to dialysis appointments.

This role requires 6-hour shifts across seven days, with duties including personal care, meal planning, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation to and from work.
• Your vehicle must be insured.
• You must have a valid driver’s license.
• You will need a current TB
• You must pass a Background & Drug check & be E-Verify employable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
