Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in South Carolina seeks a Dialysis RN for a 13-week travel assignment. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, performing dialysis procedures, and educating patients on treatment. Candidates must have a current Arkansas RN license and at least one year of dialysis experience. Qualifications

• Able to work independently while striving for the best in patient care.
• CNN preferred.
• BLS and/or ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients.
• Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures.
• Assess patients' response to dialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as ordered and document findings.
• Educate patients and families regarding ESRD, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.

Job description

Provide direct patient care for assigned patients and assist in the care of other patients as needed. Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures. Assess patients response to dialysis therapy and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated or directed by the supervisor or as prescribed by the physician. Assess patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and document findings. Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients. Responsible for assessing educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
