Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our in-center hemodialysis team in Somerville, MA. The role supports patient care across shifts with approximately 15 hours per week, starting around 5:30am, and includes Sundays rotation.

Training is provided and salary starts at $40+ per hour, commensurate with experience. The position emphasizes patient education, team collaboration, and delivering high-quality care in a nonprofit environment with strong values and supportive

Qualifications

• Accredited nursing degree required.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.
• DCI provides 3-months of comprehensive training, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machine, its alarms, and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
• Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
• Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching
• Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
• Administer and chart all prescribed medications
• Follow CDC/CMS infection control regulations
• Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
• Document required patient education efforts
• Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
• Assist in medication inventory maintenance
• Lead a small patient care team
• Contribute to onboarding new staff members as directed
• Additional tasks as requested
