Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Dialysis unit on Martha's Vineyard (MA). This per diem role requires on-site availability with day/evening shifts, weekend rotations, and potential on-call overnight for patient transports.

You will perform dialysis care, monitor patients, and contribute to care planning within the ESRD/Dialysis program. Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), RN license, and 1+ year of medical/surgical

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• More than 1 year of experience in a medical/surgical unit required
• Critical care experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
• BLS/CPR certification within one week of hire (AHA & ARC accepted)

Responsibilities

• Perform standard dialysis nursing practices per unit policies.
• Assess access patency/complications.
• Cannulate efficiently and effectively.
• Assess patient pre- and post-treatment.
• Dialysis treatment per unit standard.
• Monitor patient response to treatment.
• Document patient data and plan of care.
• Communicate care plan through established procedures.
• Coordinate with patient, family and care team.
• Maintain dialysis machine disinfection and logs.
• Attend mandatory trainings and department meetings.
