Job summary

University Health is seeking a dialysis nurse to perform the nursing process and provide direct patient care in a busy dialysis clinic. The role includes monitoring ESRD patients, ensuring safety, and upholding department policies.

You will mentor staff and collaborate with leadership, while receiving mentorship from senior nurses and the Dialysis Services Director. Required is active RN licensure in Texas, ACLS and Healthcare Provider CPR; BSN is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas is required.
• ACLS and Healthcare Provider CPR certifications are required.
• BSN degree is highly preferred.
• National dialysis certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs the nursing process in a safe, therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting.
• Provides direct patient care and monitoring for ESRD dialysis patients.
• Oversees direct patient care of dialysis patients on dialysis.
• Mentors and serves as a clinical role model for staff.
• Receives mentoring from senior nursing leadership.
